As the Designated Broker and Partner at Engel & Völkers Sun Valley, Reid Sanborn uses his leadership experience, market knowledge, and unrelenting work ethic to deliver a premium level of service to his clients and colleagues. He holds an MBA from the University of North Carolina Kenan-Flagler School of Business, an MS in Aeronautics from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, and a BA in Hospitality Management from Washington State University.

Reid is a Planning and Zoning Commissioner for the city of Sun Valley, former Sun Valley Board of Realtors President, and currently sits on the Board as their Past President. He recently completed his first multi-family Ketchum Development Project, “The Lofts @ 660” as part of Engel & Völkers Development Services. 

Born and raised in Mercer Island, Washington, a well-known and prominent suburb of Seattle, after completing his undergraduate degree Reid joined the United States Air Force and became a pilot in the F-15 Fighter Jet. He is a decorated military officer, and has traveled and served all over the United States and around the world. He has lived in Washington, Idaho, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Georgia, Florida, and the United Kingdom. During his service, Reid purchased, leased, and sold real estate.

Reid is now a full-time resident in Sun Valley, Idaho where he enjoys skiing, biking, hiking, and playing in the outdoors with his family. Through Engel & Völkers, Reid is uniquely positioned to offer a premium level of service in the exchange of residential and commercial real estate. Reid consistently exceeds the goals of his clients through passion for service and the ability to bring people together. Reid volunteers with Higher Ground Sun Valley and is a supporter of local non-profit organizations. Reid commits a percentage of his commissions to the Engel & Völkers charity partner, Special Olympics National and local chapters, in honor of his clients.
